Worth The Wait
« on: June 28, 2002, 02:10:57 AM »

 Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

It was worth the looooong wait -- I now own four more legs and two ears --and everything is all black!

Klassic Hour was born at 1:20 am today and is just incredible. I mean, he had to not only learn to get up and stand (not easy with four legs to coordinate), but to walk, to find the dinner table, recognize his mom, and then lie back down again. All within a couple hours of being born. Let's see any of us do that!

Well, he did forget how to fold his legs and lie down a couple times, so we had to help with that, but then he figured it out. Talk about smart!! I should sign him up to take the SAT exams.  Grin

Kasserine is being the perfect mom, loving and protective but tolerant of all us humans going "oooohhhhhh, how cute".

And proud Dad, Happy Hour, is probably handing out horse
cigars or cookies, proud that baby looks a lot like him! Klassic Hour looks like papa, at least for now, because this black baby will turn grey like Kasserine. Well, he'll keep Happy Hour's face, but he has his mama's ears...

Of course we have to brag. At 16 hours of age, Klassic Hour was in fact taking the right-lead canter and doing laps around the stall, much to his spinning dam's dismay. Yahoo!

And tonight he managed to go the other direction for left-lead canter. 'Course those "twenty-meter circles" aren't exactly twenty and they aren't exactly circles, either, but heck, the talent is in both the right/left directions.

Of course we have photos, should anyone ask. Then you can look at him and also say, "oooohhhhhh, how cute".    Wink

Hey Amanya:  Again, a huge CONGRATULATIONS on the final arrival of Klassic Hour.  We're so thankful that all went well for Kasserine and her new "son."  We sincerely wish you many, many years of joy, happiness, fun and great success with him.  Keep those pics coming!  Looks like he's going to be a good size fellow! Talk with you soon.  Grin
