Can anyone (Maren?) tell me about this pinto Trakehner stallion? He's approved Zfpd, but not Trakehner--because of a "freaky accident". He looks lovely. What's the story?

http://www.deschenhof.de/englhome.htm This is the sire of Manjana (the first Pinto Trak Mare OSB Approved in the US) He has several daughters now approved by the German Verband also. He was injured mid-test and could not complete it, causing him to not be "fully approved" by the verband, though he is considered "pure blood" and so his daughters can be inspected for studbook. What more would you like to know?

I wasn't aware that his daughters could be approved, and I wasn't aware that he was Manjana's sire. That's great! His story sounds similar to Feuertanzer's, though in his case we're talking 100 day test. It's too bad the ATA won't do something like that.
