Illinois/Wisconsin inspection-branding
Anyone interested in having their horse branded at the Illinois or Wisconsin inspections should be sure to pay and have the proper paperwork in hand from the ATA office. If there is enough interest a brander can be there (unless an unexpected conflict occurs). Again, I stress there must be enough interest and all paper work must be completed and the branding paid for.
For a horse to be branded they MUST have a completed branding application (top half and back completed by the owner and the middle of the front completed by the office showing the date of the receipt of the paid application and a Trakehner brand stamp).
Also, for purebreds older than being at their mother's side and partbreds, they MUST have their original ATA papers in hand. For purebred foals at their mother's side, they must have the ATA branding application (filled out and paid for) and the dam's original 0ATA papers. Foals of ATA-accepted TB and Arab mares may be branded as purebreds while at their mother's side if they have the same paperwork as the purebred sucklings.
Please spread the word.
