Karen, you dont' know how right you are re: best side! My neice taught him about butt scratches last weekend & now whenever anyone comes near him, he immediately turns his bottom and backs up until he gets scratched!

Baby scratches are the best. I have to live through your experiences for the moment  Little boy is at the clinic with momma - everyone think baby thoughts as she is most likely being bred as I type.
My little guy loves to his scratches actually nickers for you when he sees you coming. If you don't come up and give him a dose he'll follow you around till you do.

I think the first Herzmond picture is one of the best foal pictures I have ever seen. Congrats to the photografer....and the owner

Great pictures. Looks like Tzigane can perform and produce!!! Congrats, Kim - that colt is really amazing. Is it just me, or does he look TALL? How tall is Taz? Is he performing anywhere in TX this season? I'd love to meet him. And Maren, have you picked out a name for your Windfilly yet? She is so adorable, already looking stunning and confident!

Right back at ya Maren - you posted MY favorite foal photo - that filly yawning just HAS to make a cover somewhere!! Looks like she just had a busy day! (Must have been shopping!)
Herzmond looks tall to me too; already doesn't look like a baby next to mom (but she's short, so who knows?). Taz is 16.2h so a tad above average, but nothing unusual. Still, there are some tall males from that stallion line (EH Friedensfeurst, Donnerkeil) and of course Muenchhausen is HUGE.
Lara, Taz goes Prelim @ Greenwood Farm (Weatherford, TX) next weekend (5/1 & 5/2). That's a 2.5 - 3 hr. drive from Austin & we'd LOVE to see you! Only other TX date this summer is early June in Dallas (which is longer drive for you). Then he swings thru Illinois & Kentucky in July (where we'll both wish we were if the typical TX heat sets in by then!).
