Taz's second son of the season arrived this evening @ 11:30pm. Mom Hennie (Muenchhausen x Henriette III/E.H. Rockefeller) & baby are both doing well.
Again, interesting color - appears liver chesnut w/a white star (though don't hold me to the exact shade . . . at 3:15am, my eyes could deceive me!)
Thanks for everyone's support on the "maiden mare" post. Sure enough, nature took its course, and while Hennie didn't want ME touching her bag or nipples; she had no problem when it came time for her new son to drink!

Yes, we're thrilled Hennie is such a good mother. From the moment she laid eyes on him, it was love! 
There's nothing quite so special as seeing a new mother greet her baby for the first time. Hope those pics came out. Regardless, some will be posted this afternoon.

Great news, Kim! So, so glad everything went well and Hennie is fine. I always worry about the first timers. Does he have Hohenstein's 2 hind half-pastern markings? If not, we may be looking or a new theory.  I must come visit soon.

Following Heather's idea of posting photos under the original post. Thanks to Kari Cassel for the attached photo. Herzmond (Manny) again from Last weekend's show.
We're very proud of him. Great mind and rideability, plus excellent work ethic and hilarious personality. Manny's going to make some girl or small woman (he's 15.3+) an incredible riding horse!

He does look great!!! And I think that 15.2 to 15.3 is the *perfect* size. That is Shad's size & he has carried me many miles in competition and training (even winnng Best Condition). All my *big* cowboy friends ride horses under 15 hands. That horse can carry more than a small person!!!!! And look good doing it!!!! Way to go Manny, keep it up, you look great!
