Hello to this forum
« on: October 24, 2003, 11:56:49 AM »

Hello, I am a newcomer to this forum. I have bred my mare to a trakehner, young stallion named Ducati.
The foal will be trakehner appendix since Ducati has been approved for breeding in september.
Does anyone knows him ?

He is by Graditz-Donauregen-Merkur, 7 yo, 17 hands, and he is so cute and handsome!

My mare is swiss warmblood-canadian horse. I know it is a strange mix, but both has good conformation and character. My mare a a lot of anglo-arab bloodlines, so I will keep you post with the result. Due in may 2004.

Welcome to the forum Leena!  Congratulations onyour upcoming foal.

I'm not familiar w/Ducati, but Graditz *E* is very familiar to ATA members (and a particular favorite of mine as he is the sire of my young stallion, Tzigane).

Who owns Ducati?  Has or is he going to be presented to the ATA?

Welcome aboard! Grin

I checked with ATA office, as I am trying to round up the names of the stallions approved this year, and Ducati was presented but apparently not approved.

Hello and thanks so much for the warm welcome  Smiley

In regard to Ducati, let me give you a lot more details. First of all, he is reg, ATA but he was approved Canadian Trakehner as of september 20th.
Born in Vermont, he is 7 y.o., 17 hands, chestnut. He was bought by Les Fermes Vidricaire in Québec last winter. Nathalie Vidricaire has started to train him in dressage and hunter I think.
This guy has an outstanding fertility. He is got this great personnality, turn out with a gelding, living with kids in the middle of the place.
When I went to see him, I could not resist ! Can you believe this guy has no shoes ! So good feet !
Conformation is great, gaits either. Check this stallion, it is a rising star. He did 5 foals in the state and apparently, those were fantastic. Well, from my point of view, I will see that in may next year.
For the approval, you should check Canadian Trakehner website.

So I hope this will help !

Sorry to not add to the welcome!

I didn't mean to try to pop any bubbles, or make you defend your choice of stallion, but was just responding to the Ducati question from the "Recent Posts" list and didn't even think about what the main subject of the thread was!  Helping Heather with the update to the stallion book these days and new stallion names are on my mind.

Anyway, glad you found us!
