Heuriger is an elite stallion in Germany. he was the 1994 team silver medallist at the dressage world championships in Den Haag and has numerous placings and wins in international Grand Prox competitions. his sire Herzbube was very important as a foundation sire, especially in the dresage field. Heuriger's dam also produced the approved stallions Hyalit, Husar and Holunder.
Heuriger has one approved son in germany (Walzerklang). Apart from that, during his sport career, he was too busy to really breed and today it seems the world has "forgotten" about him. I have only seen a few of his offspring, they seemed to vary in size, but all had a great work ethic and excellent characters, very friendly horses. And smart too! I met and rode a couple of Hyalit get and was really pleased with them. All in all there are a couple of really great dressage horses around sired by heuriger, but due to the lack of numbers it will be hard to say much about prominent features of his genetic abilities.
the most recent heuriger descendant was the 2002 premium stallion Oberon (ex Offensiv) in NMS, he is by EH Angard out of a Heuriger daughter.
