Hi, Thomas,
Welcome to the forum.  Please tell us about your horses and your farm.  How many horses and which lines do you have?   Have you been breeding Trakehners long?

I am Eileen Krause.  I am in Arkansas.  I have one mare of the Putza line, and two of her colts, a 15 month old colt by Stiletto (by Martini out of an Abdullah mare) and a 3 month old colt by Donaufurst ( by Mahagony).  I am new to the Trakehner world.  I bought my mare (my first Trakehner) 2 years ago.

I am attempting to learn to speak a little German, Not even close to writing it yet.  I think your English is terrific.  I wish I could do half as well in German.

Again, welcome. And I look forward to hearing more from you.

Best regards,
Eileen

Hi ,we have a littel farm close to Kaiserslauten(Ramstein Air Base),Rheinland-Pfalz and we breed now 13j.! We have to arabian mares(one polish and one russian) one young mare out of the "Lottka" Family(she wins the bigest riding contest for young mares in Rheinland-Pfalz and to mares out of the Feine Family(ex feodora),oh I forgot,on 3j. old mare from Turnus(Son from Zauberklang) out of the russian arabian mare! At the moment we have one stallion (Belmont ParkXX),we have him together with the mares and the fillies and he is very nice to them! I allways go new ways ,thats why I use that special blood(XX,OX)!At the moment here in Germany the bloodlines are very close! Ok see you all, thanks

WOW, DK, good job!!!

Thomas, welcome. I too am from germany, and the world is small, as my parents just now moved back to the old home of the family, Waldmohr!

next time I visit them I would love to see Belmot Park xx, always was fond of him. Maybe we can set up a little Trakehner visit?

Two of my most favorite horses in our herd have a Feodora-line grandfather, Ferrum. I'm sure you know him.

best wishes, Maren

Hi Thomas,

I'm a Brit, living in London, but will be moving to Deutschland in the spring (near Duelmen, Muenster). Did you buy Belmont Park from Mr Busachi, or did he breed his Belmont Park stallion from you ?? A couple of my friends here in the UK have most of his mares now - and they did wonderfully at our Trakehner Show this year - Champion and Reserve Champion of the grading!

What were you saying in the Hefte, then Maren???!!!

I have to try to learn German quickly as I am awful at it. I have 2 mares who now live near Hanover - you may know one of them - she was the siegerstute from Rheinland Pfalz in 2000, so maybe you saw her? I also adore TB blood - that mare is half TB (from a TB mare) and my other mare is an English TB mare who was premium graded here in the UK for Trakehner last year. So it's so great to meet another TB-blood fan!!!!

Good luck with your horses - maybe we will meet at Neumunster??
Best wishes

Hi Tamsin, nice that you moving to germany, when you here and everyday around with germans than you learn the language very fast! We have "Belmont Park xx" from "Schwaiganger" the big Bavarian stud! Mr. Busaci just rent him for one session and he had to fillies and one was "Shooting Star"! We are very happy with him ,because he is very easy to handle and it's allways fun to watch him together with his "wifes" and his to littel daughters! oh,you have "romina" she is a great mare!! Here Vather "Symbol" stands her not fahr away from me at the "Berghof" and here Mother "Rogalla" was a wonderfull ,exellent mare ,she is a halfsister of "Belmont Park XX"!When you are in Germany ,please contact me that would be very nice!? All the best ,Thomas

Oh,Tamsin I forgot to tell you about that statemant from "Maren" in the Trak.Hefte! I think you heard about that "big" problems going on in the "Verband"(money, bloodlines, losing mares and all that) ,so "Maren" sayd very good things to make some things better or find some other way's to get out of this problems!! See you,Thomas

Karim:  CONGRATULATIONS!!  I hope that she gives you a wonderful foal.  Will you leave her in VT to foal?  I left my mare there for 2 years and had her shipped to me in CA after she weaned her first EC filly and was confirmed in foal with the second.  I left the first filly at Tylord for the first 2 years of her life.  Something about that big mare pasture kept me from bringing her here to CA until I had a place of my own for her to run around in.

Best of luck.  Beckie

Thank you Beckie,
She is in good hands, so she will most probably remain at Debra's.

The pictures of her relatives are great. They are so lucky to live in a "complete" herd with a stallion on top.
A question: I am adding the mare line history on our website. Do you have any info about her ancestors or relatives?
Thank you,
Heidi
