I'm a llama!
|
Hello, I am looking to buy a horse that is registered in the ATA in the part-trakehner division. How do I find out about his pedigree line on the trakehner side his sire is Martini. On TB side I find Secretariat. He is a sweet 7yr old gelding/ 17.1 hands. He is going to be Vet checked next Tuesday, and I have my fingers crossed....Thanks Linda

Well for a newbie you don't mess around. Martini is one of the breed's best sires here in North America. He just died last year, but has many notable performing offspring and three approved sons. You can look at his picture, pedigree and list of performing offspring at www.americantrakehner.com/stallions/martini.asp - also on that page you'll find a link to Valhalla Farm, where Martini stood. There you'll find many more pictures and info on him and his offspring, including one of the approved sons, Stiletto. Enjoy and good luck
