Renaissance Fleur TSF + TCN Partout

Just wanted to add some nice Trakehner show results.

The grey Tuareg-daughter Renaissance Fleur TSF and her rider Monica Theodorescu had a great start into the season at the huge Dormund Indoor Dressage Cup in early March. They scored way above 65% in Grand Prix and Prand Prix Special, even finishing ahead of the former German National Dressage Champion Gracioso and N. Cappelmann. Renaissance and Monica are members of Germany's A-team since last summer, meaning they have great chances to be picked for the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Spain to represent Germany.

Last weekend, we witnessed the comeback of the impressive Trakehner elite stallion TCN Partout (by Arogno-Donauwind) with his rider Anky van Grunsven (the Netherlands). They won both Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special at the s'Hertogenbosch World Cup Finals (not entered in the world cup though). Partout had been "out of business" for over a year after an injury, but showed the best performance of his lifetime, according to the European press and Anky. He won with over 73%, which is absolut world class. Anky was extreamly happy about his performance and this makes Partout her number one pick for the World Equestrian Games. Let's keep out fingers crossed that our breed will be represented by these two outstanding horses!!

Hi Maren:  Thanks for the great news, as both of these horses are outstanding.  It is really good to hear that TCN Partout is back in action - sounds like he's off to a wonderful start.  I had the great opportunity to watch Anky school him for a bit several years back, and he seems to be quite lovely and possesses great talent.  It would be fabulous to see even more Trakehners in such world-class competition.  Kiss

Hi Renee,

well, get Happy ready....;-) Just kidding.

There are a couple more Trakehners that are just a short distance from that sort of competition. In dressage, certainly Kira K by Banditentraum-Schwalbenherbst and the chestnut stallion Donaudichter by Excalibur-Falke, but both horses are still too young. Also, very impressive, the approved Solero RBS by Hyllos-Polargeist.
We have two hot candidates for the World championships of the young event horses, Kunta Kinte M, last year's National Champion by Fontainebleau-Sacramento Song xx and Herakles by Ghazzir ShA-Consul.
Windfall is a hot canidate you guys can be proud of, although I doubt they're going to campaign him for the WEG this year, Athens 2004 is the big goal here.
Karen Basset is very liekly to represent GB in the driving championships in Spain this summer, her four driving horses are all full Trakehners (and great to watch!!).
For the jumpers, Waitaki is doing the Grand Prix tour and doing very well, but I doubt he will make the team, we just have too many good jumpers here.
Schneesturm TSF, the Abdullah-Kassius approved stallion is a rising star. Again, rather young. But the German National press call him "little Abdullah" and that has a reason. We have high hopes for him in the future.

I'll keep you posted with their progress as well as other Trakehners in competition.

Yes, if I could afford ($$$$) to proceed in that direction and oversee Happy's training every step of the way (wouldn't the trainer just love me - hmm...), then we might give it a stab.  BUT, since I don't think that is in the cards, we'll just have to keep him here in the U.S. and do the very best we can.  Cool

All kidding aside, it is really fabulous to see and hear about the successes of our Trakehners, both here and abroad.  Smiley
