Question of registration??

I wondered if anyone could help?
I am just starting out breeding Trakehners and I have a West Falen mare whom I think would cross well with a trakehner!
The question is if the mare is graded with the West falen studbook and stallion with trakehner verband where could the foal be registered? Huh

The Trakehner Registry is a closed registery--the produce could be registered as a part-Trakehner and listed in the appendix book under Section D. I don't know what the rules for the Westfalen registry is--it is possible that they are an open registry and would approve the get as Westfalen.

I suggest you contact the Westphalian registry for its rules. Here's its www.westfalenhorse.com. The staff at the US and German registries are very helpful. There may be some Trakehner stallions that are approved, but there are none listed on the US Westphalian webpage.
