Outstanding job Phenix, Daynia & newbie! SO happy things turned out well. It's probably good they're indoors today; it's too HOT to be outside! If this heat keeps up, I'm moving out of Texas . . . maybe Iceland?
Hugs to all and Daynia, you & Phenix get some well-deserved rest!

They're both doing well today. The colt has been named Phenom and his barn name will be Peanut. Peanut is very, very friendly. Phenix retained some of the placenta, so she needed more help after I left. They are both eating well and Peanut is trotting around their stall. The vet is coming out today to flush Phenix out and do a complete workup to make sures she's alright. Thanks for all of your support. It's nice to know that there is a group of people that understand what I'm going through and are pulling for mom and baby.

Yahoo! He is very handsome, and don't worry he'll lose that anorexic look after a few days of Mom's milk. I'm so glad everything turned out alright, now you can relax amd enjoy the little guy.

DK,
Good to hear! He looks strong and healthy, especially for all he's been through. He'll be putting you through your paces in no time.
Enjoy him while you have him. I'm sure the woman who leased Phenix is thrilled.
Relax, rest and enjoy! Eileen
