Ikor by Rubin???
« on: June 22, 2003, 06:19:41 PM »

Okay all you pedigree gurus, someone named myrna is posting a question and I can't seem to piece the puzzle together.

First of all, she says she is looking at an 11 yo son of Ruben (I think she means Rubin, but if anyone knows different, speak up) to breed to.  He is apparently to be presented to the ATA this fall.  I assume that he is in British Columbia since that is where she is located.

She wants a picture of Rubin and what traits he usually passes (i.e. dressage, jumpers).

She indicated that the dam's line was Flamme, but in another posting on another site, she says the dam's name is Izola (sp?) something by Amadeus.

I can't find anything to piece this one together.  I don't know if she is intentionally being vague or if she is not asking the right questions.  You would think that if she is interested in breeding to him that the first thing she would get is a copy of his pedigree?Huh  Anyway, I am just trying to help.  Anyone know of a stallion in Canada who is being presented at the ATA meeting this fall?

Here's a link to some info (in German) about Rubin.  It has an undersaddle picture of him, too.

There is a lady located in Langley, BC, that had several trakehner mares, as well as a black (I think) trakehner stallion.  If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the stallion was by Rubin, and the mare line (Izola) sounds familiar as well.  I don't know if she is planning to present him to the ATA or not.... a friend of mine knows the owner well, so I could ask her.

What exactly is Myrna wanting to know?? Huh

I think we figured it out.  See the post on the COTH breeding board by Myrna.  She was wanting bloodlines and performance.

Info Update....regarding the Trakehner Stallion Ikor by Rubin x Flaneur
We are in Jalisco, Mexico and enjoying PSG/I1  work.
Ikor is out of  Isola Lonka by Amadeus....and is now 18 years old.
Ikor has produced 2 sons by the same mare... Kaliente now 5 yrs old out of my mare Korinthe (a Trakehner mare by Tempelritter x Condus) and Keltic Kur 1 yr old in Nov.
I am estatic with Ikor and my other Trakehners...I also have his full sister Impressario by Rubin also out of Isola Lonka...and Kronenritter a gelding...full brother to Korinthe.
We are presently enjoying Mexico and looking forward to selling here and moving to our next long term destination...Florida. If you go to facebook and look up up victoria lee kings crossing....you can see pics of Ikor and his Trakehner family........cheers
