This topic was a natch, since this is mostly what we do here at Tannenwald (although anyone that has talked to me in the last six months knows what we REALLY do is install fence! )
My thoughts are that this board will be used for discussion breeding issues, including techniques (TS, frozen semen, etc), selection of stock, even through baby time. Depending on how the flow of conversation goes, new boards can be added in to flesh out new concepts. Of course, if anyone has any other ideas for board topics, let me know!

Just a news worthy item for breeders in CA. Select Breeders, which have breeding facilities in Italy, Germany and at Hilltop, have just selected an additional new "site" here in California at Pioneer Equine Veterinary Hospital.
Without realizing it (beginner's luck), I selected Pioneer to handle the breeding of my mare. They have been marvelous. And, as luck would have it, Select Breeders where on the stallion's end, too.
It was very good working with them in both locations.

Hi Amanya: I have nothing but very high regard for Paul Loomis, Jonathan and the other staff from Select Breeders Service (East Coast) located at Hilltop Farm. I've been working with them for about 5 years now, and they are always very helpful, professional, and I am very pleased with how they "handle" my stallion. A stallion handler (particularly when training or working with a young stallion early in his breeding career) can literallylmake or break chances for success in how he works with the stallion. At Select, they are very quiet, confident and kind. This certainly gives us more piece of mind - and if we need to leave him there for a week, or so, it makes for a bit more peaceful resting at night, as it's never easy when he's not home with us ...
Pioneer is also an excellent facility to work with, particularly Dr. Baisel.
