It Must Be Colt Year
« on: May 23, 2003, 09:14:55 AM »

Born this morning at 03:30 out of our PSB Arab mare a bay colt by Pyatt Charly.  That's 8 down and 3 to go--and six of them are colts.  It must be a colt year!

Hey Sherry... CONGRATULATIONS, (Again!!!)

Wow... 8 with 3 more to go, you must have cleaned your local store out of toothpicks by now (to hold your eyes open !!).

I have to agree that it seems to be a colt year... The only filly by Hadrian so far this year is yours (that I have heard so far!), all the rest have been lovely boys.

Best of luck and congratulations to you, mom and baby!!

I'll be speaking with you soon! Grin

Hmm?  Maybe it is a colt year!  Smiley  Thus far, we've had 2 fillies and 2 colts with more on the way.  Wonder if we'll stay at 50/50???  I think one that is due will be a colt as he's taking quite a long time, but we shall see!   Grin

P.S. Gina - Possibly another colt may be in your future - very soon???  Grin

Renee... well, I think earlier than anticipated (I THINK!?!?, but who knows until the time comes).  Had the vet out yesterday to open her caslicks, just in case.  She is shaping up well for delivery, things are changing in all the right places.  As for what she will have.... I put in "my order" with Ciekew at the time of breeding for a black colt with 4 whites and a perfect small star (Ha Ha Ha  Wink Roll Eyes)

Wow!  And 3 to go!  Congrats on this baby and all the rest as well.  Are you keeping the coffee companies in business?  I think you're right about this being a colt year.  Wonder if it is in the Water.  Congrats again.   BTW, watching for pics!!
Take care,
Eileen

Hi Gina:  Sounds like you're getting very close now!  A black colt with 4 white socks - Well, I suppose Ciekew and Happy will try their best... Grin

Very best wishes for safe, healthy and happy foalings, and I very much look forward to seeing this baby!

These mares are doing the very best they can to confuse and addle me--the mare that went 383 last year foaled at 353 and the one that went 347 last year is at 360--and I'm not a happy camper--the mare due June 2 looks like she's liable to go early--and there is no room in the maternity ward!!!!!
