Finally!!! On day 355, at 10:08pm, a liver chestnut colt was born - by Herzzauber, out of Feenstaub, aka Danz, by Mozart. We are so very blessed and excited... he was trying to stand up while hind legs still in the mare! Mom and baby are doing great this morning. Danz, a maiden mare at 14, is the perfect mommy, doting on him nonstop... oh what a feeling this is!!! More later with pictures..

Lara,

Sooooo happy it all came out sound and healthy!
For all of you other guys, this is a very special story and Ihope you don't mind me sharing it here. Lara and I met on a forum, exchanging pictures of Saint Cloud as she was looking into breeding to Latimer. We only know each other since about one year and a couple of months. During all this, we got to meet (she came over for Leverkusen 2002, I went over to meet her and her husband Jim in CA), she bought her dream filly here (by Latimer) and we picked Herzzauber together for her mare Danz. We went through the thrilling experience of importing Il Sixtino, who was not approved, but moved to a top notch competition home to promote the breed even more, and now, the second German filly will fly out to live with the Meyers.
Lara, I'm proud and VERY happy I got to meet you and you became more than a friend. I'm just as thrilled about this colt as you are, and wish I was there to hug him and welcome him to this world.
And as a side note, when Lara imported her Cricket last year, the filly came with another filly, Hennie, who moved to TX to live with yet another person I met through emails, Kim Hunter. And all of a sudden, Hennie is a TX Champion filly, Kim and I find out we have the same business ideas (I consider her my big sister ) and Hennie becomes a future mom herself, now confirmed in foal to Kim's stallion Tzigane, whom I met in St. Louis on my first ever ATA approval in 2001!!
I met my best friends on the internet (that includes Tim Holekamp, Terri Sikora and Kumi Smedley of course) and I really can't remember what I did before that time!!
Thank you guys for making me feel special!
