I love Trakehners!

Finally.... After 356 days, Loretta has given birth to a healthy, strong colt. Lerato (Latin for "Song Of My Soul")came into the world at 12:02 am and was up and running within 20 minutes. Mama and baby are doing wonderful.

Thanks everyone... we are really enjoying him, he is already quite the character, very much his father's son! I will post pictures as soon as I have them back (if I can figure out how!)
Sherry, I know what you mean about the late ones, but believe it or not, for Loretta this is early... she usually likes to carry well into the 360's. The only time she has carried shorter (the 350's) was when she was carrying colts... fillies she likes to hang on to even longer (surprising, I thought it was supposed to be the other way around!!)
