I am so happy/excited for two of my kids this year. Two of our 2000 crop are getting started under saddle this spring. Itamiga out in MA just got backed by her 15 year old owner, Steph Grandbois (steady as a rock, reports mom Linda). Plus Tarika is now at Libby Anderson's barn in Virginia. Mama Susan and Libby are plotting her future, with "short-term" aspirations of the ATA Futurity and the 5 year old USDF test...
I am just as proud as can be of our kids, some of the first from our relatively young program that are off to great things...

Thanks, Heather. Word from Susan that after 9 days of ground work for Tarika, Susan already climbed while Libby led her around! Fast progress from that super-smart little girl ... I am so happy that Susan continues to be impressed by her, and that Libby thinks so much of her!

More evidence that a good young horse and the right young rider CAN be a good combination! It can be hard to sell the young ones, but it's also so rewarding when you know that they are loved and you get to follow their careers.
I know my own youngster seems to be itching to be 'in school' like his mom and my other mare - and I can't wait to be riding him.

It is very hard to say goodbye to the kids, especially after you have had them a while. But it is wonderful to see them getting out into the world in their new lives.

I got some pictures of Tarika with Susan and Libby, Susan's first time up on Riki in the arena. And I just had to share...
But now I can't wait for Riki's brother to get going too!
