Born at about 10:30 last night a strapping chestnut colt out of Dahlia by Paramoure. I can't give exact times cause the power had been up and down all night. With about 2 feet of fresh snow and more still coming this boy decided it was time. Not 15 minutes after the foal arrived the power left and did not return till this morning. So far everything is looking great and both Dahlia and the little one are doing fine. One down three to go, hoping the others can wait till at least the storm has ended. Right now many parts of Colorado are shut down. Pictures will follow as soon as possible right now just enjoying the return of electric and heat!

OK so I was tired and a bit bass ackwards, he's high white socks behind, smaller white socks in front. He does have a white spot on his rump and another on his belly. These pictures are not the best cause it was dark and snowy. The last picture I'll include will give you an idea of the amount of snow we got. It is a picture of what we are pretty sure is my tractor

Strapping boy is right! Congratulations! Glad to hear the weather's finally going to warm up. Unbelievable snowfall; she would wait 'till then (smart mommie; no predator could possibly make it through such deep snow, so baby was safe!)
Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Anxious to hear about the other two of course. Best to all & try to stay warm! Kim

Thank you for all the lovely comments, with all his white this guy is going to be a flashy looker! He is out of Dahlia (Topas x Danuta (Corvin x Donata V). The snow is melting so he got a chance to go out today for the first time, already showing signs of a lovely canter Hopefully will get some better pics this weekend, it's suppose to be 60, looking for another storm (1 foot) to arrive next week and with two more due to foal I'm thinking we could have another storm foal! Would love to hear any 'D' name suggestions
