I have always used a Stuebben Dressage Saddle, Though, now that my 3 y.o. is ready to put under saddle, found it doesn't fit him- Found a Smith Worthington for sale with a flex tree- any comments on quaility? I have been to their web site...it has been many years since I've had to look for a saddle! Guess, since I haven't needed a new saddle in so long - I hadn't been paying attention to what is out there! Help! Is this a good saddle? It is a 'Maxx' Dressage -

I don't have any experience with the Smith Worthington saddle, but you might want to consider the fact that a 3-year-old's back is going to change a lot before he's mature. How much money do you want to spend for a saddle that might not fit him in a year or so? Plus, there can be widely differing opinions about the same saddle based on each person's experience with the saddle. That said, I'll offer my own opinion and experience with my favorite saddle, an old Kieffer dressage saddle. It seems to fit most horses unless they are narrow.
This saddle is used also, so the price is not as high. I am just in need of advice is this is a good saddle, since the seller says it is, though, I personally have not heard of it. She says it is one that many Gran Prix riders like???
