Only one Ballzauber was shown and he is reserve list. The Lord Luciano colt was selected!!
Stallion owners can nominate whatever they feel has stallion qualities for the pre-selections. Often though, recommendations to "raise as stallion prospect" are given at foal inspections.

I thought the prices were very low for the foals. My live feed stopped loading before the stallions were all announced.

The Heops was invited back after performance test. Best jumper in everybody's book by far: the chestnut Dramatiker son (dam by Opernball). Fantastic horse, also a very good mover.
I'm personally very disappointed by the Imperios, narrow feet, no walk (actually one was pacing in hand, don't know I've seen that one before), very hectic jumpers, overall very non-athletic horses. Many don't understand those premiums.
The premium Hirtentanz son was not a good jumper, very skittish and afraid. He was also not lead into the chute in an optimal way (the comment has been made frequently now, but others had the same problem and did much better). We all don't understand that premium either. The Distelzar was a fantastic jumper, just as the Hofrat - Artistic-Rock.
Overall the most disappointing free jumping lot in a decade. Really painful to watch. We're losing athleticism, right in front of our eyes. Very sad.
I'll write more in a few days, going home now.

Well the Hofrat was the Sieger.... Can someone who doesn't have a computer that buffers every 5 words tell me the two Reserve champs? I think it was the Gribaldi? and ??
I did not watch all of the at liberty yesterday - came in on #38 and watched from there on, and I didn't see the jumping (although heard about the same thing from Germany Maren that it was lack luster over all). The only one in at liberty that perked my attention was #54 the Singlo son. Really liked his movement - esp the walk and canter (!!), but I hear his jump technique was not the best also. The chestnut was also nice - and it was nice to have a different color (my gosh how did we end up with so many black or bay horses?? LOL) and I think related to the Singlo son I liked? Through the dam line?

Annissa, you have it all right (the color is really a problem by now ...).
Champ is Hofrat - Artistic Rock, loved him. 1st Res Champ is the Gribaldi that is not for sale 2nd Res Champ is the Hirtentanz, no further comment Best jumper prize: the Dramatiker colt Best blood horse: Herzruf son
Comment on the pinto foal: nobody wanted it. The 8K was "produced" by two bidders working on behalf of the owner. The foal is a freak, I'm sorry. It was really weird to look at (especially the face) and was very normal overall. As a solid color, it would probably not have been selected.

On the ATA site it has that the Hirtentanz colt was the best jumper. My Internet was timing out and my German is rusty but I swear I heard that the Dramatiker son was the best jumper. Can someone confirm which is right ?? Thanks!

A fabulous free jumping picture of Iceman (Ovaro-Schiffon *Ps*) is here:
http://www.trakehner-verband.de/termine/hm/2011/impressionen/#fr
Third picture from the top in the right hand column. Head number 49. Click on it to bring up a bigger version and to scroll through the rest of the nice slide show. Iceman's dam, Inura, is a full sister to Ivanhoe who was competitive in S-jumping and to Imperium who was selected for the stallion licensing 5 or 6 years ago.
