Trakehner Eventing!
|
Hi all, I'm not sure if this is okay to post here...if it's not, I apologize and please delete or I'll take it down right away!
As many of you know, Kyle and Jen Carter have recently become Trakehner owners by becoming my partners in Sayyida(aka Xena). They were skeptical at first, but they have become serious converts to the breed and have big plans for Xena!
For those that don't know, Kyle was a member of the 2008 Canadian Olympic team and the 2010 silver medal winning WEG team with his horse, Madison Park.
Kyle was unable to qualify for the 2012 Olympics at Rolex due to a broken wrist suffered at Red Hills earlier this year. He is now trying to make it to Burghley to get his qualifications completed. Unfortunately it's an expensive proposition to fly a horse to the UK for two weeks.
We're in emergency fundraising mode, and we need some help! If you can help with a donation, sponsorship, or just by spreading the word it would be very much appreciated.
Please visit his website for more information:

Thank you!!!

Thanks Fiona!
If people are donating and would like to shoot me a message on here or an email at tennant.sean@gmail.com I'll total it up and we'll get the ATA logo up on the site once we've hit $300 in donations. So far we're at $100 raised from ATA members.
Thanks again!

I'm in for $50 - which would put us halfway to the needed $300 for ATA Gold sponsorship.

Hi everyone,
Thanks to Fiona and Kim for their donations! We're currently holding at $150 donated from ATA members. If we can get additional donations totaling at least $150 then the ATA will become Gold level sponsors of Kyle and his trip to Burghley.
I promise you that I will make the most out of that by advertising their connection to the ATA and it's support on their website, their Facebook page, their Twitter account, and in all of our dealings with other riders.
Please visit:
www.cartereventing.com and make a donation, any amount is a big help! If you post here or send me a message I'll respond with a confirmation once we've received your donation!
Thank you everyone!!

Thanks for that post Kim, I agree!
Right now we need at least $150 more in donations from ATA members to make the ATA a Gold level sponsor.
Let me promise you all that if you donate and email me with your contact info and website, I will make sure your breeding program and sale horses are recognized. I'm spending this weekend with Jen and Kyle, I will sit down with them and review each of your websites, talk about your horses pedigrees and make sure they and their students all know about your available horses!
So, please make a donation! Anything helps! I guarantee that each and every one of your sale horses and your stallions will be presented to Jen and Kyle personally...and they love Trakehners now!
Thanks!

Thank you so much to all who have made a donation! We've reached the Gold level sponsorship and I'm just waiting for approval to get the link and logo for the ATA up on the site!
Anyone that would like their logo and website featured on the website, please make a donation and let me know what you would like!
Also, we now have really nice polo shirts and hats available. Kyle will gladly autograph them if you would like.
Visit http://cartereventing.com/ce-apparel for clothing, and

Hi everyone,
I'm making one last push to raise some additional funds for Kyle!
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far, it's incredibly generous of you and we really appreciate it. I spoke with Kyle and Jen this weekend about everyone's programs, and we will sit down once he's back from Burghley to review your stallions, sale horses and young prospects. We have a dozen people buying horses between us, I promise we'll give everyone their money's worth!
Please consider making a donation if you haven't yet, and if you'd like to email me with information on your horses please do!
Thank you all again!

Thank you so much to everyone for your generosity and donations! Kyle and Parker are officially on the way to Burghley!
We were so happy to exceed our fundraising goal in large part because of the members of the ATA! Thank you all, it means the world to Kyle, Jen and me.
If you haven't yet, please email me with your horses that are for sale and I'll make sure they're well represented to Kyle and his clients! tennant.sean@gmail.com
Thank you again!

I LOVE Trakehners!

Just saw this thread. Please accept $50 from Meadowview, and the stallions E.H. Herzzauber, Feingeist, Paascha MV and Lampion. Tell Kyle, good luck from the Alberta connection!

This from Eventing Nation
Kyle Carter and Madison Park took a tumble at fence 12, the Waterloo Logs table. They were having a fantastic round up until that point and Parker lost a shoe right before the fence, causing him to slip into it and pop Kyle off. I spoke with Kyle's wife Jenn briefly who said that Kyle and Parker are both fine and will look to head to Blenheim next weekend since the fall was so early on the course. Kyle was so determined to get around Burghley, I hate to see their weekend come to an early end.
Such a shame Parker threw a shoe but am happy Kyle's going on to Blenheim w/him as this pair has worked so hard and were apparently going well. Watched several xc videos on Burghley.TV and have to say that was a monster course and several questions (Leaf Pit) were absolutely daunting.

Dang!! Just watched their xc video on Burghley.TV.
They had a brilliant xc round going - absolutely textbook thru the double brush @ 1st water. Parker and Kyle were totally in sync on this run - confident, forward and obviously had a game plan that was working. Hopefully they'll get to show how good they are @ Blenheim. And Parker's shoes will stay on.
Go get 'em KC!
