Trakehner Eventing!
|
Under new rider, Missy Ransehousen, Fantastik (by Connery) was leading at Richland after dressage with a 28.70 in the Preliminary division.
With a clear cross-country round and just .80 time penalties he dropped one spot to second.
Missy brought Fantastik to her string with the intention of making him her next team horse. They're off to a great start!
The wonderful mare Asterion was tied for 8th after dressage in the same division. There was an unfortunate rider fall during her usually clear XC round.

Looks like we've got a lot of young Trakehner's headed to the Preliminary division this year...can they sweep the 2011 Prelim division of the AEC's.
Fantastik had one rail but maintained second place! Congrats to him and Missy!

Actually, Fantastik already has placings in Intermediate under his belt. But he's done nothing last season, so this is a very wise move. I love that horse, owned him when he was a stallion candidate in NMS (together with Jimmy, Kim's huband btw). I hope to see him moving up to his full potential with Missy. Thanks for the updates Sean!!

Maren, isn't this the colt we saw at Weinmann's just hours old running around the arena with his mamma? I'll have to dig out the video of that if it's him. He was so cute, and really independent. He took a summersault header and just jumped up and kept going
