German Stud Books

Hi all,

Looking for some info on hard copy studbooks? My instructor (and Trak mentor) had some old studbooks, all in german, from the 60s, 70s, and 80s with awesome photos, reference lineage photos, and lists of offspring at the time. Anyone know of a place to find these? I have use of hers, but she's several hours away and I'd like to do some research. Thanks!

The Trakehner Verband sells them. They are VERY expensive, more than $100 a volume, and there are three volumes! Strangely enough, they are not available on their Web site so you'd have to write to them if you want to buy them. Write to info@trakehner-verband.de. They do speak some English.
