Thanks!! I really like this colt. He is big. 43" at the wither, which is big especially since mom is only about 15.3-16hh on a tall day.
Anissa, hmmm...auntie? Second cousin twice removed? I don't know! Tansanita Vom Castell is out of the mare Tansania, who is one generation back in your girls pedigree. However, Tansanita Vom Castell and your mare share the same sire. I don't think there is a human relation that would equate (thankfully!)
TwinGates, I actually spoke with Marilyn Krenger the other day and told her about the colt. I was trying to reach Eberhard and my number for his was disconnected, so I called the farm and we chatted briefly. I hope she passed the word along to John.
This colt really is precious. Feel free to pass along the photos. In fact, here is a link to my flickr page with photos from yesterday. He has already started to mature and unfold. Isn't that amazing how they change in 3 days?? It blows my mind...
