Sorry Anissa. The couple of pictures we got the evening of the day she was born I MUST crop myself out before those go up any where! I wasn't really looking my best shall we say! But here is one I got from today. I'll work on getting more.

It was warmer today, ie. not snowing! So Psaronite didn't have to wear her coat. Here's a picture of her and her mother Pscilla and in the background in one of the stalls is the proud Daddy Tradition! Family photo time!

Lea Ann, The mother is Pscilla out of Pshana, a mare that Vanda Werner imported, Pshana was out of Parchim who Joe Pimentel tells me scored all 1's at her inspection in Germany. Pscilla's sire is Pregelstrand.

As with many of mine before they first stand up I milk some from the mare into a syringe and give it to the foal. I find it gives them more of an incentive to get up and find more. So yes she was a bit unsure who Mom and the milk machine were the first few days. An up side to doing that is we've had a problem with some abrasions on her legs from trying to stand up the first day and she's on SMZ tablets orally. Well I go into her stall and say, "Num nums???" and she comes right over and grabs the syringe in her month to take her meds. Very funny!

Pscilla is a fabulous mom. I believe she's had 7 foals total. I have four from her with me, three that are full siblings by Tradition.

Here are a couple of newer pics of Psaronite at about 3 weeks old. I haven't taken a lot of pics because she had some abrasions on her legs from having trouble getting up in the stall the day she was born. It's been a long road but finally she is doing well with all of them. She's now coming up on 3 months. I'll have to get newer pics of her.
