Anyone got any photos to share or some pedigree information? (Guter Stern rings a bell, but I'm not sure why. Consul son, maybe?)

I don't have info on the horse but I took lessons from Missy, his rider, and she showed my Trakehner x gelding, First Amendment, who did VERY well on the SoCal circuit.

Gunter Stern - Sire of Veneziano (http://americantrakehner.com/Stallions/Inactive/Veneziano.asp)I posted his pedigree as allbreed didn't have Gunter Stern's in the data base.  NOT a Consul son!

He is also the the dam sire of Eisenherz.

Thanks Anissa! Nice stallion - is he still alive?

(Guter Stern was bred to Caro Dame II (EH Connery's dam), a maternal half sibling of Consul - and produced a filly called Cover Girl. CG is in the UK and has been bred to the Fleethingyer stallions (Swift and Opposition) a couple of times.)

edited to say, just saw he died in 1999 Sad

and edited to say Guter Stern is the maternal half brother of Guter Planet by Consul! That's what was ringing bells!

Yes, GS is a half brother to GP.

Veneziano did die at a very young age.  Siegi does have a limited supply of frozen but she will only sell to approved TK and Dutch mares (and I think they have to be approved, purebred etc).

I do have a V filly (2008 model) out of a Carino/T'bred mare that I'm retaining as a future broodmare.  I absolutely LOVE her - very tall, modern, feminine, and refined with a great mind (she is very "serene" and mature for her age.  Movement is more hunter type than dressage, but very correct.
