Used to have photo of Hansakapitan & lost when our old pc crashed. Anyone have one of him?? Any interesting info on him? I'm gathering info for scrapbooks on my Trakes! Thank you Christina

Christina, Maren found a photo of Hansakapitan that I used on the pedigree page of my website. Go to www.twingates.com and click on pedigree. Photo & info. in him & several other good TK stallions - maybe some additional ones appear in your horse's pedigree.
If you can't pick up photo off this site for your purposes; ask Maren if she'll scan & send his photo to you.

1941 Light Bay Trakehner stallion height 157 cm (15.1H+); girth 186 cm; cannon 21.3 cm. Bred at the Main Stud Trakehnen.
A son of BUSSARD out of a PYTHAGORAS daughter. The German Stallion Book provides as follows: "Shorter in height, standing over much ground with slightly long barrel. Four correct, strong legs with broad and well-formed. Swinging movement, somewhat wide behind. Sires good type and especially swinging movement, almost always sufficient size, often pronouncedly large frames." Hansakapitän died in 1963, leaving 15 approved sons and 43 studbook mares.
