Steph & Tor first Dressage Day

My niece Steph & Tor, its their first Dressage day off lead,  the steering still needs some work especially on the 20m circles. Steph is just a beginner so she was happy to have managed to rise to the trot and mostly keep him trotting.... maybe next time she will have a go at cantering Smiley
Tor went kindly for her and they got 1st in their class Smiley

Wild Trakehenrs.... I don't think so  Roll Eyes

He is also my level 2/ 3 dressage horse (and we are slowly working our way higher).

How CUTE!!!  Steph is very determined (love the little tap on the shoulder to get Tor moving down 1st centerline!) and what a wonderful horse. 

Where was this?  The trees in the background are magnificent!  Congratulations to Steph & Tor for winning their 1st class together!!!

That was seriously cute.
I liked how the gelding was "taking" it all very seriously. I bet he was smiling to himself also.

We are in Christchurch, New Zealand, so it is just coming into Autumn here.

I think Tor is more than happy not to be having to lug me round (I am quite heavy) and that he is being asked nothing more demanding than looking after Steph, no collected or medium work or lateral work.
