Performance Matters!
|
Harry did his first Novice event yesterday and placed 2nd of 17 horses, eventually losing by 4 pts to the 2009 USEA Area V Training HOY (who had dropped down a division to prep for the season). Still, I was VERY proud of him as his focus got it's biggest test when - during his dressage test - a Prelim horse 50M away crashed into one of the stadium jumps and flipped over. Harry maintained his composure and finished his 20m canter circle, earning one of several "8's" on the test.
No pix from yesterday yet, but a small brag on Harry from the clinic he did with International eventers Clayton and Lucinda Fredericks (Lucinda won the '09 Rolex with Headley Brittania) the first weekend in February. I asked Kristen to find out if they'd be willing to give a quote for attribution we could use on Taz's websites here & in EU. The quote we got was WAY more than I expected, and to say we were thrilled is an understatement:
"This horse has great (xc) type, wonderful energy and is a powerful, scopey jumper. Superb 4 star potential" - Clayton & Lucinda Fredericks
WOW! Attached are pix of Harry & the Fredericks.

Way to go Harry and Kristen!!
Can't wait to see his name on top of the lists for HOY!
Xena is going to have to play a little catch up to her big brothers...should be exciting to see the 2016 and 2020 Olympic team filled with Taz babies
Congrats Kim!

That's true, maybe she can go to Chester Weber and take on the driving world!
All I know is GO TRAKEHNER'S!! The AEC's and YEH championships are going to transition from all Windfall to all Tzigane over the next couple of years!!
