Has anyone out there had experience with these saddles?  After a hiatus, the brand is back.  I sat in one of their saddles at a convention today and liked the seat and positon of it.  The folks from the plant say they are developing  a jumping model for the line (they have western, trail, aussie, and dressage saddles).  I offered to 'field test' the new saddle.  Wink  I doubt I'll be that lucky.  Just wondering if the system is in 'real life' what it's supposed to be.  I personally liked the look of some of the western models.

The idea sounds logical to me and with testimonials from the
3X world champion endurance rider, that it is the only saddle she'll ever use, I say I lean toward believing they are good.
Years ago I rode in a friends western saddle and it was a comfy ride.  Her horses all seemed to do well with it and it fit wide as well as narrow horses.
At a saddle fitting clinic at Mid-West Horse Fair, I asked the woman about Ortho Flex saddles and she claimed the calvary experimented with the same concept and scrapped it because they found the constant shifting of weight and moving of the 'load' (rider) tired the horses' backs too soon. Well, I think it is worth another try, since we have better technology now. I'm not sure where I stand on this yet, though I'd hope they are all they claim to be, and am willing to buy one and try it out, someday

Hi!  I used to be an orthoflex dealer and have personal experience riding in the saddles.  I feel that they are very good for certain horses and fit about 90% of the horses out there.  I personally thought that the dressage saddle sat me too high off of the horse - but others love them and don't feel like they have lost contact with their horse.  As far as western and endurance go - the saddles are awesome.  Many endurance riders swear by them.  I haven't had a problem with weight shifting either.  Good luck in your saddle search!  Kind regards, Mary  Smiley
