Hello!
« on: October 19, 2009, 06:37:30 PM »

Hello everyone! New to the board and wanted to say hi.

I have just been blessed with a new broodmare

Her name is Contessa and she is by EH Buddenbrock out of Cornetta III (EH Benz x PS+ES Cornau)

She is a wonderful mare and I am looking forward to breeding her next year to Tzigane.

Is it too early to ask what everyone else is planning for next year? Grin

Welcome!!  And I concur with Connie (WWF) - nice mare!

My next year will prob all be to my boy, Tatendrang.  And by all it is Lovely Lady (Tizian/Lovedream/Donauwind), Pennant's Valentine (Pennant/Nancy Foster Wolf xx/Medaille d'Or xx), MAYBE Encore (Frankly Diplomatic xx/Milagro's Megan/Bagatel). ETA:  I say maybe on her as she is 20 next year and she is the love of my life that I've had 18 years so we will wait and see how she is and if she "wants" to have another foal next year etc... if she looks half as good as she does right now she'll be bred, if she sits in retirement for the rest of her life that is ok too.  Grin

Emma (Oskar II *Pg*/Encore/Frankly Diplomatic xx) is the only one I'm up in the air about - not sure if I'm breeding her, not 100% that I'm doing Tate - will depend on the size of the foals his first foal crop (although I"m leaning that way).

Your mare is gorgeous! She should have a very lovely foal.
How tall is she?
And Acottongim...I am in love with your stallion Tate.

Thank you, I am very smitten with her. Tanyabg, she is 16.3 - she makes me look tiny Wink

And I, too, love Tate, so maybe a future date? I'd love to do embryo transfer with her because I am so greedy! There are so many wonderful stallions to breed to!!!

JRR,
I think your mare is really lovely. Such a pretty head!
My advice is to run away from this site, as there are some really nice stallions (and equally nice owners) that hang out here, verrry tempting. I only want one foal, but I catch myself sneaking peaks at their boys and wondering- Bad Fish.

Gorgeous mare, she looks like a blast to ride.....ET is a dark and twisty place as they say on Grey's Anatomy.  Thank goodness it is available to explore and use when we need.  My ET cycle this year produced TWO embryos, so the second went in my backup recipient, judged by age and other factors as the poorer choice.  Also my last choice as she is number two in my show string....well she is now showing a lovely pregnant tummy and the recipient of choice didn't take... Undecided That was exciting to think about for a couple weeks though.  Have fun with you beautiful new girl.

Fiona, she's absolutely gorgeous!  She actually reminds me quite a lot of our Hennie *M* and the pedigree is a super match w/Taz.   I very much look forward to seeing this foal.   Kiss

Never too early to ask about 2010 breeding.  Both our mares: PrSt Schoene Symphonie (Polarpunkt - E.H. Tenor) and Hennie *M* (E.H. Muenchhausen - E.H. Rockefeller) will be bred to Taz for 2011 foals.
