I love Trakehners!

Just recieved this message from the lovely lady in Quebec than purchased our 2005 gelding Marlon last year.
"Allo Alicia, Marlon is now classed 1st place in regional show in dressage Training level. Only one last show to come. We are classified to go to the Quebec equestrian game in september. He is a lovely horse. Maybe next year we can do the national !"
I've recieved a few e-mails from her stating his showing successes. He was purchased last summer, unbacked and won his first dressage class 3 months later. He's the sweetest horse I've ever bred. Born in your pocket and I'm so glad he's in such a good home.
He's a Canadian Trakehner by Hyatt and out of our lovely approved Arabian mare Madelaina, by Fagir.
Here's a couple of photos, from last fall...and now
It was so nice to get some good news tonight, we've had a rough summer with my grandfather in the hospital 6 weeks and passing away this weekend...(we're pretty close). And I'm afraid my much loved 15 year old dog is on her last legs. A difficult summer for us and the kids. Nice when good news pops up at the right moment.
