Darren Chiacchia's Ballzauber, like David Beattie's Hirtentanz a son of Axis TSF, won his first Bundeschampionat qualifier today with an amazing score of 8.7 (eventing). He's ridden by Alexa Bendtfeld, who also rides El Greco TSF. Ballzauber is stationed in Germany at Steffi Herken-Wendt's Gestüt Majenfelderhof for the last year in Germany before he comes to the US. What a great achievement for US owners this summer - if both boys end up going to the finals in Warendorf, both will represent the US in this highly prestigious field of young horses.

FANTASTIC! What an accomplishment - a huge congratulations to Darren, Ballzauber and Alexa!!! It looks like Darren is going to have a blast with him when he gets to the US - lovely horse!!
