She is home and doing pretty well considering. Will be hard for her to just sit until the injuries heal.

Thanks for the news - I'm glad she's home. Julie: Hang in there - time will heal your wounds. I am nearly recovered after breaking my pelvis, seatbone and sacrum last year by a spooked horse (not her fault).. it's a long haul, but you will get there. Lots of physical therapy will do the trick when you are ready to move around a bit. I pray that you don't lose your confidence with the horses (as I have). If you don't have stocks, put some in: they will help you to be around the horses safely to groom, etc, and get your nerve back slowly in a controlled situation. Contact me if you need to talk - I'm just starting to run again and am up to two miles per day, not a lot, but it's rewarding after being laid up and limping for so long. You are in my prayers for a speedy recovery!! BTW, huge kudos to you for taking in a Katrina rescue, I bet she is very grateful...
