Big congratulations to fellow board member Judy from Canada - her mare Thalabana passed an excellent mare performance test in Holstein today - in Elmshorn, the home of the Holsteiner Verband. Naturally, the majority of mares were Holsteiner.

Judy, video is on its way to you, but the scores are outstanding, with an overall 7.7. Double 8 on rideability from judged and the test rider, 8.5 on her walk, and a more than respectable 7.5 for her jumping (considering t he location, this is very good). It was a hot summer day with 90° and the mare is in foal too.

Congratulations again!!

What great news.  Congratulations to Judy from Canada and to your mare.  That was a super effort from your mare considering she's in foal and the high temperature.  Thanks Maren for letting us know about this great event.

Wasn't that Thabana ? I think she was purchased by the Holekamps in 2004.

Thank you everyone. I am not sure when Thalabana will arrive in Canada. She is in foal to Manrico and just completed her test on July 1st.
I am very proud to be her owner. Of course if it weren't for Maren and my daughter it would never have happened.

Thanks, but I didn't pay for her. YOUR pick and YOUR horse. And now on to new adventures ..... after all, you've got a yearling growing up fast too  Grin
