I LOVE Trakehners!

Toni got the first of his scores to qualify for consideration for competing at Devon. He scored a 65% at the Raleigh Classic in I1. The second score to qualify eluded us with a 63.6% at Fair Hill. Please wish us luck and send good vibes for that second qualifying score. Regardless, I think he's doing pretty well at FEI and now we can finally see the possibility of GP in our future. A loooong road......

Just talked to Kumi and Kovington *Ps* got his 2nd qualifying score this weekend in Lexington @ I1, so Toni's going to Devon!!!! Kumi can correct me if I'm wrong, but only FEI-level classes are held @ Devon (no Materiale, Training, or 1st - 4th) and horses must qualify with 2 scores of 65+% at their respective levels. (This only applies to u/s classes; anyone can enter the breed show classes @ Devon - doesn't make the competition less daunting, but there are no qualifying scores required to participate).
Congratulations to Sherra Kosch, Kovington *Ps* - and especially my good friend Kumi. I know how much of an investment (emotional and monetary) you've put into this, and I couldn't be happier for Team Toni!
"Just for fun" Sherra and Toni also did PSG @ Lexington, and scored 69.7%!! So they'll likely be qualified both in PSG and I1 for Devon.

And what a great horse to show impeccable temperament and movement for Trakehners at Devon at a high level. Toni is truly a gentleman..
GP is not far off - hang in there Kumi - almost there girl!

Congrats to Kumi and Sherra, who is such a beautiful rider and person. I was at the show but it was a big one and didn't get to see Kovington go. The 69.7% I-1 score was 2nd place in a large class of at least 15.
FYI for Devon, the minimum qualifying median score is 65%, but there is also a limit to the number of horses they take, so the lowest qualifier is typically more in the 66-66.5% range. I'd love to see Kovington there!

And Kim - Materialle (as well as "suitable to become a dressage horse") are offered at DAD. It is part of the Sporthorse classes.
DAD is always the "best of the best" for both the breed shows and ridden dressage and to go and to place there is truly an incrediable experience. Huge Kudos to Team Kovington.
What day are you getting in? Maybe we'll stick around a little bit longer to cheer you on!

Lost my first post........now my second post.....
We are back from Lexington and what a weekend! Congratulations to Lee Ann and her colt - I saw that she was entered, but I did not get there in time to see the breed show. Both breed and under saddle shows are tough with quality entries and the judges are not known for giving scores away. The weather was gorgeous and it's hard to be back in TX - just not ready to make the transition to reality yet! We made our scores for I1 but the PSG just eluded us again - he was just a little too tired on that third day. We'll try once more, though, so please wish us luck - it worked last time! I had to call Kim - she has been a pillar in cheering us on and knows what goes into owning a competition stallion. Thanks so much for all your congratulations! Won't know if we actually get a spot in Devon - they only take a certain number of rides, so we'll have to wait and see. I haven't looked at the breed show, but the IBC classes are open to anyone and everyone that represents a specific breed that has a class at Devon. Not sure what other breed shows they offer - the east coast finals and maybe an open show, in addition to the IBC classes?
Will try to post photos - did not work the last time, but here goes...... Photos did not post - I'll have to maybe ask someone elsel to post them for me...
