First Dressage Sport Horse Show of the year for Esprit
« on: June 16, 2009, 07:54:08 AM »

Esprit represented the Trakehner breed at Ten Broeck Farm Dressage Sport Horse Breed Show in Pepperell, Massachusetts on June 14, 2009. Donauseraph by Tradition *Pb* out of Donautänzerin placed 2nd with a score of 65.0% in the Three Year Old Filly class. Donaudiva by Timotheus out of Donaumädchen *M* placed 5th with a score of 68.5% in the Two Year Old Filly class. Psalmody by Tradition *Pb* out of Pscilla placed 5th with a score of 68.0% in the Two Year Old Colt class. Zaubermaus by E.H. Tambour out of Zaubernacht II placed 2nd with a score of 66.25% in the Maiden/Yeld Mares class.

The judge was Toine Hoefs from the Netherlands. He is a breed show judge and inspector for the Dutch breed. It was a wonderful opportunity to show under him. His comments were great and is demeaner was very pleasant. He was used to a lower judging scale then we normally see in the US but he evaluated the horses very accurately and fairly.

Agreed. Congrats on your youngsters, and very jealous that you have Zaubermaus, but think it's a super cross for Tradition *Pb*!   Wink

I agree Kim.  When I saw Tradition last summer at the Stallion inspection Carol hosted, and then saw Cardinelli (who was approved) I was very impressed by him.
Brad's imported mare Cara Bella by Buddenbrock (that Heather leases) was also just confirmed in foal to Tradition.  Mousy and Cara Bella are very similar in type and conformation, and I think both mares are an excellent cross for him.  So cross your fingers that both Carol and Heather will get their wishes.... black colts !

Haha!  I want a filly!  I am VERY excited about Cara Bella's upcoming foal.  It is the only one we are having next year and will of course be very special.  Fingers crossed that Zaubermaus is pregnant!

Congrats on the show Carol!

Actually Heather tells me she's hoping for a filly! But I'll definately take the colt and black would be very nice indeed! I try when ever possible to take the young horses to the in hand shows as training for their under saddle showing later. You're that much further ahead if they ride on a trailer and are use to the horse show environment. And any time I have a REALLY nice mare in the barn I take them along as well!  Wink

Here's a current picture of Miss Mousy. She really enjoyed showing, all the primping and posing!

What a mare Shocked

I also agree that getting the youngsters to shows is great for their future show careers. They know that they are not the only horses on the planet and behavior is everything Wink

Ok Ok Heather Filly for you then.  One year you want colts, then next you say you want fillies.............
Roll Eyes  Mousy seems to love her new home.  Her son Zauberteufel ( 4 year old) is going very well under saddle, and I have high hopes for him.
