Thaddeus TL o/o of Toyota by Enrico Caruso *Ps*E* o/o Tokyo by Graditz *E foaled yesterday in pasture. This is Tim’s first foal to turn gray.
Debra sent me photos to post and I tried but couldn’t figure out how to do it, so I linked you to the colts web page:

Hopefully, when he unfolds and I have some updated photos, I will know how to post them.
Also, my condolences to Tylord Farm. Debra lost a lovely dark bay filly by Tim on May 16th o/o Esmerelda (Laiken/Enrico Caruso) that came 3 weeks early and was still born. The vet thought the foal’s oxygen supply had been compromised. Esmerelda will be bred back.

Congratulations Bonnie- he is adorable and glad to see I'm not the only one that had a foal born outside! LOL. Although with such lush grass it was prob a more pleasant experience for your colt! Loved the photo of the 3 generations - I love it when you can show that or more!! So sweet.
Condolances to Debra on the loss of her filly - it has been a hard/odd breeding season this year with foals early and complications. Sometimes this business is very difficult to bear.

Kim and Anissa,
I too love the photo of Toyota and Tokyo both mothering Thaddeus. This was Toyota's first foal, so having mom close by was kind of neat.
Debra's timing was perfect when she took the photo. I wish I could have been there to help or not to help.

I'm so sorry Debra lost a foal. It must be so hard to wait so long and then things go wrong.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts on the loss of the filly. It was very unexpected as these things usually are. The colt is doing great and at two days has filled out and unfolded his long legs nicely. It is only too bad that we have had two days of rain with two more predicted. Limits time out and photo opportunities! Good luck everyone with their upcoming foalings.

I know Thaddeus is 3 days tomorrow, but between the rain and the fact that Anne Lord (her mom) was hospitalized Thurs. morning, I doubt seriously she'll have the opportunity to take any photos of Thad at 3 days old. However, I know as soon as she can update us with photos she will. It looks like Sat. may be OK if it isn't too cloudy. I am also anxious to see how he has unfolded .
Huge jingles to you and to your mom Debra that she is feeling better.

Thanks everyone for your nice thoughts regarding Tim's colt and my mother. Mom came home from the hospital last night after five days with strict instructions to take it easy while she is recovering from pneumonia. She is normally on oxygen 24/7 but the pneumonia can be quite a serious complication for her emphysema. Of course that fell on death ears, literally, she has lost a lot of her hearing and eyesight. Since last night she has done two loads of wash, taken care of her plants, changed the sheets on her bed and taken a shower............so much for taking it easy. NOW she tells me that she doesn't feel very well......but she has asked to go to the grocery store this afternoon after she has laid down for a little while!

Need to change "black colt to gray colt" as Deb says he will gray out quickly. That said, nice boy and thrilled that he is here safely. I would like to suggest that posters be made of three generation shot. It is one of the most precious foal pics I have seen in years. Should be named something like "Three Generations of Trakehner Pride: Building the future of sport horses".
PS. Glad to hear Ann is home from the hospital.

Happy to hear Debra's Mom is back home. Although, it sounds like Debra is going to have to tie weights to her Mom to get her to slow down.
