We are three days from moving from our home in So Cal and then will be taking a "road trip" to find a more horse friendly place to raise our growing family of young trakehners.
We have been actively involved in fire and earthquake preparedness here in CA both with people and horses. That said, as we consider new locations that are prone to violent storms and tornados, what do you do to protect your horses in the event of one of these severe storms?

Beckie, I have lived in Illinois my whole life and have yet to be involved in a real tornado. (knock on wood). Depending on where you buy, I would go to the County Extension expert (real name escapes me) for advice.
