Vixxen delivered a HUGE colt by Aul Magic at 3:45am on March 31. He has the best personality of any foal we've had. He loves people and will try to follow you out the door when you leave after visiting him. He loves scratches already and is such a mellow, mellow guy! Here he is at 3 days old. More photos coming soon once he gets those long legs under better control!

Thanks everyone! He really is a cutie. He looks a lot like grandpa Kaspareit. His dam is about 16.1. I'm not sure exactly how big he was in inches, but he was up to my belly button ;-). Pretty big for any of the babies we've had. Probably more impressive than his height was his amount of bone and the size of his joints. He is going to be a BIG boy! When he stood up for the first time, I was amazed that he was at *least* 12 inches (probably more) wide through his rib cage/body/hips.
Still considering V names... suggestions?

Thanks everyone! I'm going back and forth between Vintage and Vladimir. Here is a photo of both boys out in the pasture yesterday! They are so cute when they play together.
We should be having a Sonset's Sieger-Padua foal within a week or so and an Apollo Sun-Heretic foal late this month. Good luck to everyone and their new babies!
