The 2009 Winner of the CDI Grand Prix Dressage Freestyle held in Wellington, Florida was a "Danish Warmblood" named Success by the Trakehner stallion "Silvermoon" by Kostolany/Enrico Caruso ridden by Lars Petersen.  The 2009 Champion stallion at the KWPN stallion grading is "Bordeaux" out of the star mare Venna by the Trakehner stallion "Gribaldi" by Kostolany/Enrico Caruso.  Two more examples of how important Trakehner blood is to ALL the other warmblood breeds.  Go Trakehners!!

We had the pleasure to meet Success when we worked with Lars and there were high hopes for him which have definitely come to fruition.  At the time, Success was Lar's next rising star.  Way to go Trakehners!

A few months ago I bought a 10 year old Trakehner/TB mare by Kantor II when he was standing at Woodland Stallion Station in CA.   She must have been one of his last foals.  She came with the name Papillon but is now registered USEF as Hamilton's Winifred.  I'm looking for anyone who may know anything about her or her lineage.  She's a liver chestnut with two hind socks, an irregular blaze, and striped hooves.  She has a sweet, willing personality and has taken to dressage training as if were second nature.   I could not have found a more perfect horse and want to know as much as I can about her.  I'm looking forward to learning about Trakehner's also -- judging from Winifred, I can see why people are so enthusiastic about this breed!!  Thanks.

Hello Stoicfish, Thank you for the information on Carolina Pine! It all fits, including the possibly mistaken color. My next step will be to contact the seller/agent to see if she knows anything about the breeder, Alison Duke.  Thanks again, dhamilton

Someone else might chime in with more info, since I have nerver reg. a horse with ATA but I know with the CWHBA has my boys markings in detail, and his dam's DNA. I bet I could tell it was him from the info they have on him.
And no problem, hope you find what your looking for. Your horse sounds wonderful, Traks really are cool!

Trakehner improvement blood is surely at work in Hamiltons' Winifred.  She was bred to be a hunter, but according to the seller, there were problems with stopping from the beginning.  That's probably the reason she has no known show history.  However, since I bought her she has been in full dressage training with a Hilda Guerney protegee.  Last week she placed first in T-3 and T-4 at her first schooling show.  the T-4 score was 70.8 with compliments from the judge. She's training second level. Not only that, she's a head-turner!!  Trakehner blood rules!!!  And the search continues to gift this lovely mare with a history (or is it her-story?). Cheesy
