Kerstin and I (the Fontana Syndikat) welcomed our first filly from our namesake mare Fontana di Trevi xx into the world. Mom is a German bred TB by Lavirco xx - Park Romeo xx - Lierat xx. "Fu Long" is by Amatcho (1989 Trak by Matcho AA out of the full sister to Arogno and Avignon I). Pictured here at 7 hrs. Her name means "Happy Dragon" and is the name the Zoo in Vienna gave its 2008 panda baby.

Kim, Fontana is well, thanks for asking. She did retain a placenta, but got over that in about 48 hours.
Helloagain, no, she has no other white marks anywhere and should end up a very very dark chocolate brown. Probably darker than Fontana.

Thanks guys.
Kim, the footing is a mix of cloth and felt with some rubber - it's all recycled material from the automobile industry and VERY popular in Germany. Placed on a bed of drainage and lava stone, this stuff never freezes, never soaks and you can work your horse on it in ankle deep snow and have no issues. I've ridden on it for many years - the horses love it because it's bouncy w/o being deep and especially for foot-sore companions like old Sudan this was a miracle help. All of a sudden he had a swinging back because his feet didn't hurt so much anymore. It's the best there is, really.
The place where Fu Long and Fontana live belongs to good friends of ours in Westphalia and their outdoor paddocks and the dressage arena are all done this way.

Someone I knew in Colorado had recycled rubber with something else in her arena, so it's available. I'll try to job my memory for the name of the farm. It was in or near Parker, a Morgan sporthorse breeder, Jane Patterson, I think.
