Herzruf us a new elite stallion since last year. He is a very tall and substancial horse, not showing the TB blood so much. His sire Königspark xx sadly died young, but left a number of outstanding brood mares and approved sons. Herzruf sired several really good dressage horses that are coming into the right age now, like Kevin. He is well respected as a sport horse sire, with dominating dressage. Although a very good jumper himself, his kids don't seem to inherit the jumping side so much. Herzruf's kids are not all very typey, but have great natural ridability. His dam line is very good, his dam is the elite mare Herzchen by Ginster, a mare that really founded a strong dressage line (with a couple of outstanding jumpers as well, like Heinrich der Löwe). Out of this close maternal relationship result the stallions Hölderlin, Hirtenruf, Heinrich der Löwe, Heinrich der Welfe, Herzruf and Hibiskus as well as the good mares Herzlany, Hirtennacht and High Socks.
Although certainly with enough TB blood, Herzruf is not a typical refiner. His get can become very tall and big, I'd always choose a more refined mare for him. He produces good athleticism and also very good and powerful movement. Hope that helped.

certainly one of the most interesting sires at present, who seems to combine the positive influence of a great TB-sire with the proven attitudes of a very strong mare family. That family - as Maren already described - counts among the best most highly proven bloodlines especially under the view of riding attitudes. His offspring is multitalented, but dressage abiltiy is dominating as you notice by his sons and daughters Kevin,Payano and Zauberhexe (Payano and Kevin successful up to Grand Prix).Herzruf most times improves canter and trot, not always size and type (his sire's influence). He himself passed a first class performance test with an overall score of nearly 150,for jumping and riding ability both 145 - in competition with westphalian warmblood stallions. The results of his competition career:nearly 60 wins and placements in advanced medium dressage.Be a little bit careful with white marks:I noticed some coloured chestnuts by him - nearly pintos - with blue eyes. All together - an outstanding competition sire who deserve much more chances in the breed, which he did not get in his younger years.

Thank you very much for the information. I was looking for a nice dressage stallion for my Tanzmeister mare. Someone mentioned Herzruf lately and I remebered his presence in Neumunster, and elite grading.
