I was cruising the stallion listing just in case I sell my filly - It stinks, almost all the stallions I would have liked to use are dead.  Some others not available for other reasons.  I guess I'll go after some young talent if I get to breed this year . . . .  There certainly are some potential stars out there . . .  In the mean time I keep playing the lotto so I can quit the salt mine and go back to playing with ponies every day . . .

I had the same issue a few years ago... we have lost a good amount of some of the great boys in the last couple of years haven't we?  Sad

I was wishful thinking on Maren's TSI site for a future stallion for my new mare.  Does anyone know about Grand Passion and where he's located?  He must be outside of Germany as he doesn't show up on the German Verband stallion list.

BTW acottongim, your young guy is on my radar, along with Bond, Tigre (if he's available), and a couple others.  It's tough, though, as someone who rides and drives to get a handle on weather or not these current and future saddle horses have quite the mind one would want in a horse to both ride and drive.  Basically, I look for one that would NEVER survive in the wild for being too casual and curious about weird things.

But I can't go down that road until I find someone who likes my filly more than I do (and has much deeper pockets than I have   Wink)!

Well I'm flattered!  I wish I could say for certain what Tate will throw - that is the hard thing with a young stallion with no foal crops on the ground yet!  I know that Sterling really likes him, but have never asked him about driving lol.  It is so hard picking stallions isn't it?? That is half the fun for me is picking just the right match for my mare(s)!
