Since we are announcing new mares... . I too got a new mare today (well, she hit my house today).
Thank you to Joe P for the mare, Lovely Lady!!!
She is by Tizian and o/o the Honor Roll mare Lovedream (by Donauwind).
I'm very excited as I've been looking for a mare specifically to breed to Tate (that is old enough that I don't already have booked to a stallion this year). Joe and I looked over his herd and talked about the different ones that he would be willing to part with etc and we setteled on Lady. No photos - just got here while I was at work, but Joe said he would send me one with one of her foals from a couple of years ago.

Photo is from I think 2005 so is a little dated, but it is the best I can do for a little while. This is Lady with her Impressionist filly at her side (filly is around 5 weeks old).

Very nice foundation bloodlines; congrats, Anissa. I can't remember if Lovedream was @ Zenda's in '98 when I was there, but remember Z talking about her.
Wasn't Lovedream the dam of the approved (later gelded) Lausbub by Graditz *E*?

I think so - but don't let me swear to it. I know that she had either one or two colts sent to approvals, but not sure if he (they?) made it.
I'm very stoked about this mare - I agree, VERY good bloodlines. I know that Connie has had this mare, she was at Jean's for a little while (but I think she was boarded there for Joyce Kuhn - who was killed in a horrible car wreck which is how she came up for sale again and Joe bought her). Didn't realise that she was at Zenda's, I'll have to ask her about it. I was kind of surprised when he told me he would part with her....
Should be interesting to see the cross with Tate!

See Suzette - I knew I would be corrected (which is why I said I wasn't sure)... I'm still researching all the lines, who is related to who, and what was produced so far. I know that she has a Beaujalais colt (gelded) and the two she's had for Joe, and a Prince of Prussia (? - one of the brothers) colt maybe two by him??? I'll call the office tomorrow and get the full scoop.
Lara - the filly is what Joe is keeping and why he let me take Lady. Not sure if he has any photos of her "grown up".

Heather - I think I've heard of that mare? Anyway, seeing as how this mare has already had several babies I'm HOPING that I get at least a couple more from her... she is still pretty young in the general way of things.

She is a 91 model so she is what, 18 this year?? Did I do the math right?
She did have 4 Graditz foals though - 2 colts and 2 fillies (Lovedream the dam that is) with the last one being in 99, when she was 24 years old.
So if the dam was producing that late... I'm hoping that Lady will give me a couple of foals. 
She's very spry for her age and is a good girl.

Lady's DAM had the 4 Graditz foals.
I have the foal list for Lady - she has had an Impressionist filly and a colt by a T'bred stallion for Joe, a stiletto colt, a filly by Prince of Prussia, a colt by Beaujolais, a colt by Carino, a 1996 colt by Graditz (maybe she was still there when you were there?). So Lady has had 8 foals so far.
oooppss... forgot the filly by Carino!

Yes Zenda had Lovedream for a number of years. Both Lovedream and Lovely Lady came from Jeff Groth in WI who also owned Tizian, a very good under-used stallion.

Congratulations on your new mare Anissa! She looks like a nice mare and obviously produces attractive babies. That filly is a looker. I can't wait to see the 'lil Tates next year.  I wonder if they will be sweet kissy face horses like their sire.

Thanks Kari - I have a feelling that this foal will be pretty sweet. The mare is just a doll baby.
I've seen several of her foals (by photos and then Joe's two in person) and all of them are pretty amazing - great movers, good confo etc. They are also all on the larger size, so imagine that with Tate I'll get another big foal. She has one foal going eventing, one doing 1st Level in Jacksonville (was at Training in the 70's), there are two in dressage in Canada but don't have any more info than that right now... so I'm pretty stoked about her.

Since obviously I'm procrastinating doing things like MOWING and HOUSEWORK (lol) I'm slowly getting everyone cleaned up and out on the grass a bit to graze (hoping to not have to mow at the end of it all). I finally snapped some photos of Lady today. Long overdue I'm afraid.
I tried to give her a bath and apparently it was her first time ever or in a LONG time for a bath because she acted like it was fire coming out of the hose instead of water. I managed to get her to the point where she was sort of calm about the hosing off but we stopped at that point so she has weird stripe marks from the water marks on her... One of the photos is with her and her "mini me" my 11.3 hh aged pony mare. Cracks me up how they will be mutt and jeff like that together.
She is confirmed in foal to Tate for an April/May baby. We actually had to pinch a twin from her.

You know, one day I need to get a "real" photographer in to take photos of all the mares/babies etc. I don't do any of them justice. LOL
Thanks Kim - she is a really nice mare, I like her more and more everyday.
I personally don't have photos of the babies on my computer. I found some on Connie's website and also the people that have Lady's Levitation have her on their website... I am in the proces of tracking down all of my mare's babies that have been born elsewhere for permission to put photos of them on my website (so Tanz, Lady, and Val).

Joe is so good to you, Anissa. Lady is a really nice mare, and if she is as sweet as you say that's just icing on the cake. Can't wait to see the baby she and Tate make.
