I love Trakehners!
|
Fairwind has been under saddle for about 4 months now and gelded last month. I took him to a clinic with my trainer's tranier (I call him, my butt kicker's butt kicker), and he was a ROCK STAR!!!
The clinician was Hans Biss and he is a tough cookie (old school, German BR)! About 10 minutes in he says over the loud speaker "Das Trakehnen???" I said YES, TRAKEHNER, CRAZY TRAKEHNER!
The boy just went in and did his job, no muss, no fuss.
Not bad for a first outing.

Yes, where are the pics? Did Hans have anything to say after you confirmed that he was a Trakehner? Of course, being from Germany, he doesn't have the old prejudices that many Americans still have. Just gives me goosebumps that he could pick out that Fairwind was a Trakehner.

I am a bad mommy and did not get any pictures. I will try to take some this weekend and then I will ask Anissa to post them for me. I can't ever seem to get that right!

Anissa won't be around this weekend... Anissa is going to SEE PRESTON!!!!!!! But I'll be thrilled to post them after the weekend when I get home! 
Now back to packing and being excited about seeing my baby!
