Whatever your opinion about bullfighting, this video is amazing, this horse is amazing.  Talk about athletic!  I'd heard of cantering sideways, but had never seen it before.  I'm totally in awe!  I got the shivers just watching this and had to watch it again.

I've seen that video before and I have to agree with you Joy - it is an amazing spectacle.

I will admit that I went to a bull fight in Madrid when I was stuying abroad my Jr Year in College.  I won't go to another one, and I don't agree with the bull fighting in general, but I will say that it was interesting to go to.  A complelty different culture and history.  The pagentry was spectacular.  The horses that were used were amazing.  Even the bull himself... When we attended the Royal Family was there.  One of the bulls was almost pardoned for his strength.

The bullfights in Portugal are differnet than the ones in Spain though - they use more of the horse and I don't think the bull always dies?

It is a weird feeling sitting in the stands and feeling revulsed on the one hand and mesmerized on the other.  Like I said, will not go to another one, but am glad that I did go to one to see what it was liek/about.
