Other Trakehners @ the AEC's (which due to torrential rains, turned the upper levels into a CT - no xc - dressage & show jumping determined final placings):

Open Intermediate
Heather Morris on GENIAL - 3rd (30.9)

Advanced
Darren Chiacchia on WINDFALL *Pg* - 6th (37.6)

'torrential rains' is for sure!  I am about 10 miles away from Lamplight where this was held, and I had 9-1/2 inches of rain in 2-1/2 days!  My haybarn is swimming (I probably lost about 500 bales of hay), but everything else is ok. There is no way they could hold the cross country in that wetland area - you could never get emergency equipment back in there if needed - and it would be just too dangerous. I am glad they opted to change it over to a CT format.

I am not sure what other Traks were competing - I was following Savaant's progress, as his dam, Something Emeraldxx, lived at my farm for the last few years of her life, and she was a sweet dear!

The YOung Event Horse Championships were in tight Trakehner hands, and I have the story with pix on Ti.
