Just a short note, I had the pleasure of seeing the Stuart Horse trials in person. Great facility, beautiful setting, great group of people. Show ran like a well oiled machine so kudos to the oragnizers. What a special day it was that I also got to see Darren and Windfall go in person. I've noticed many nay-sayers on some of the other boards, I don't get it but don't have to. What an inspiration to see him back there doing what he loves. What a lesson for me personally. Next time I think I can't do something because of (fill in the blank). My excuses will seem pretty lame. I did not get a chance to view dressage but did see cross country and stadium. What an athlete both Darren and Windfall – what a team! To see more about the show check out there site http://www.stuarthorsetrials.org/

by the way another little piece of information - what you won't see in the course walk is the X-cntry terrian, lot's of rolling hills - made the course more challenging for sure. If you click on the jumps on the course walk page you can see a picture of the actual jump.

The video says it's no longer available. But I am SO pleased to hear that he is back at it already!! That's SO fantastic!! I was just wondering about how Darren was doing the other day, it's funny that this thread showed up days later. LOL!! Great to hear though, thanks!

He does look awesome, and I adore Windfall!
Joy, from the little I've read on COTH (not by any means all of that, just skimming, and haven't read any other boards), some people are concerned from a medical point of view that it is very early for him to be returning from a brain injury of that severity and are worried about what another injury soon after that one could do if he fell again, since the effects do build progressively. I haven't actually read anything against Darren, just concern medically. But as said, I haven't read all of the threads I've seen (pesky little time issue, you know), and there might be another pack of naysayers out there, too.

Ok maybe I was a bit strong in my analysis, however, the string you refer to got pretty personal where I picked up (and left off) . I'll leave the medical discussions to the medical professionals
that aside it was a great day with so many talented riders, Darren included
